Just the lady ones. The men went to mars.
Actually the writers still pick up " "science" following things like global warming, plastic straws, daily covid fads. Not necessarily following though. ( buried ink)
sorry if this has been discussed before but on quora someone asked if rutherford had said that dinosaurs had been taken to venus .
i assume that the questioner had heard it somewhere and wanted to check it out.
i've never come across this before is it true ?

we had 2 fancy dress parties in our congregation...before the ban.
it was the best fun we ever had together.
problem was some came as pirates with swords!
Slim; actually used car salesman. (Buy here, pay here)
We used to have potlucks. Actually good times. One couple did formal dances in lieu of proms. Many moons ago a brother with land hosted target shooting.
The local good ol boys used machetes for swords and steel tipped spears in a drama. Made me nervous seeing elders act like 10 years old with them.
the org.
said to follow government guidelines but here in ohio they are making everyone wear masks for the meetings, despite the fact mask wearing is only mandatory in health care facilities!
.
Strongly encouraged. Otherwise known as nagging. No microphone covers here nor wiping the stand between parts
lot going on.
i had a covid divorce last year over zoom.
not pretty but i got a good deal.. anyway,.
The bigger resistance will be door knocking.
Zoom you can not dress up, get a coke, popcorn, catch up on dusting; or sit there and try to stay awake.
To draw people there needs to be more interesting meetings, a lucid message for starters.
Our speaker this year was very good, not preachy, down to earth. 25 zoom hookups, no idea how many traveled to a distant hall at a late hour. My homemade bread ( for wifes sake) was worse than last years. My box wine was vinegary. We dont partake.
i saw a statistic the other day that something like 25% of all the debt that the us has incurred since 1776 was created in the last 12 months.
that's because they have printed so much currency and instead of letting that stop them, they are going to continue printing more to go on a spending spree on crazy green-new-deal schemes and union handouts.. does anyone think that this can be anything other than inflationary?
they are effectively stealing the wealth of everyone to then hand money out to people.
Oops. Fat fingered a dslike.
my friend ( who knows that i was a witness at one time ) showed me a letter sent to his house by one of his neighbors.
he barely know the person, and this letter shows in his mail box.
does this witness really believe that anyone who receives this letter will attend the memorial?
That is the basic format everyone uses. Not much different than an in person call.
The " I give the talk" wasnt necessary. (I am important)
I have never heard of non jws attending except for family that is Invited
i remember one of the flowchart responses to people questioning the biblical flood was something along the lines that "every culture has a flood story".. of course, nearly everywhere has flooded at one time or another and we know there are minor floods and then there are the 1-in-1000 year kind of weather event, that tend to get a mention (anyone from the uk will still talk about the summer of '76, and that's probably nothing in comparison to a decent flood).. but the inference is that the flood must be real, because every culture has a flood story.. the best response is "now do dragons".. because apparently, nearly every culture also has a dragon legend.. does it mean dragons exist?
some desperate jw may show their ignorance by suggesting that man lived at the same time as dinosaurs and they are what the stories were based on.
fun fact: stegosaurus was a fossil when t-rex was alive for longer than it's been since t-rex has been a fossil to us - we're talking old, and no overlap (ignore the map in the cover of the old green bible).. do jws still even bother trying to defend the cray-cray aesop-fable kind of ot beliefs?.
"Its almost like a lot of the worlds cultures share a common beginning."
Very much. It is interesting to read the stories of Polynesians, chinese, Norse, europeans, navigating oceans and land, leaving unexpected dna in far flung areas.

I spent my 8.5% on groceries.
Ww2 had an impact with desperation followed by conversion to peaceful production, rebuilding, and a cold war. 2 things I think of are Grumman canoes using aircraft technology, and jeeps morphing into the things we have now....going past exploring without a horse to desecration of any historical sights.

There are flood stories, true. Passed down orally. We can speculate on glacial dams breaking, earthquakes, lots of things. Mother of all tsunamis from a meteor? All within the last 5000 years? There is evidence of huge inland seas, but part if that evidence is a shoreline.
Some of the related stories dont fit. Mature olive tree? Clean animals defined before the law? Tower of babel having a huge population in 200 years? (Rabbits!)
My take on pyramids/ minarets is a migration for unknown reasons converging, disagreeing, and dispersing. Post Columbian records show a mobile society in america pushing each other out. Same for the world, look at DNA dispersal.
Once I thought I would ask resurrected people about it.
this man changed your life - did you know that?.
our story begins 6 years later in 1782 in pittsfield, massachusetts.
there is a family of 16 children called the miller family.
Now it is mispronounced crishtendum. Repeatedly.
They make it so easy to be a grammar nazi
